Covid 19 Procedures

Returning to School

 

Pupils

Parents/Guardians to complete Return to School Pupil Form.

Form to be given to Bus Escort on 1st Day they return.

Temperature to be taken. If temperature is 38 0C or above, child should not travel to school. GP should be contacted.

If child or any family member displays any symptom of Covid 19 or is a close contact of a confirmed case, they should remain at home.

 

Staff

Return to Work Form must be completed 3 days prior to returning to school. Forms to be emailed to stpaulscovid19@gmail.com

Temperature check will be completed each day upon entering the building. Any temperature 38 oC or above, staff member should return home and GP should be contacted.

If any staff member or a family member displays any symptom of Covid 19 or is a close contact of a confirmed case they must remain at home.

Staff must comply with the return to school protocols as identified by Department of Education and Science.

Staff to complete all relevant training modules provided by the Department of Education and Science.

 

Suspected case during school day

Child

Child to self isolate in isolation room until collected. Teacher to contact parent and to inform them that their child is unwell and they must be collected without delay. Public Transport cannot be used. Child to be escorted to isolation room by staff wearing appropriate PPE, masks, Face shield. Other children and staff members to remove themselves from the classroom to use outdoor spaces or PE Hall. Classroom windows to be opened. Sanitization of the classroom and isolation room shall take place. Cleaners to be informed. All cleaning materials to be double bagged and stored for 72 hours before being placed into outside bins.

Childs’ parents / Guardians must contact GP for advice and relay this to the School Principal before child returns to school

Staff

Staff member to travel home if well enough to do so using own transport. Public Transport cannot be used. If too unwell they must self isolate in isolation room until collected . Staff member to be escorted to isolation room by staff wearing appropriate PPE, masks, Face shield. Children and staff to remove themselves from the classroom to use outdoor spaces or PE Hall. Classroom windows to be opened. Sanitization of the classroom and isolation room shall take place. Cleaners to be informed.
