Message to parents and guardians of the boys and girls in St. Paul’s Special School who are enrolled for First Holy Communion:
Dear parents and guardians,
Greetings and Happy Easter from the parish and St. Paul’s!
There is still much uncertainty as to when the restrictions placed on us for our safety will be lifted. With both Masses and school suspended, we are living through a challenging period of our history. We are especially conscious of the boys and girls who are preparing to receive their First Holy Communion. It is almost certain now that the ceremonies planned for the 28th of May will have to be postponed and possibly for some months. We await updated public health advice on when it will be possible to hold large gatherings of people. In the meantime, we encourage you to continue to pray with your children. Mass is broadcast from the parish every day at 10am, including Sundays, through Facebook Live (www.facebook.com/beaumont.parish) and through the telephone (018477740, option 6).
We look forward to the day when we can gather again for Sunday Mass and when the children can receive Holy Communion. We remember the children, their teachers and their families in the Mass regularly. Please ask the children to continue to pray too for all those whose lives are affected by the crisis and for those who are working so hard to keep our society safe and nourished.
God bless you all!
Adrian (Principal) and Fr. Robert.
Age Action and Irish red Cross launched a Covid 19 Hardship Fund to respond to the immediate needs of older people in vulnerable situations across Ireland experiencing additional hardship as a result of Covid 19.
If you know someone who might benefit from this Fund, please share this link!!!
On 6th December students from St Paul’s attended the Helix to watch the 2019 Panto – The Three Musketeers.
There was lots of singing and dancing, and everyone had a great day!
Jerry Nolan Coaches were tremendously supportive as ever, ensuring everyone traveled safely to and from the Helix.
Thank you to all who purchased tickets for St Paul’s Christmas Raffle. You helped to raise €1,460 for school resources.
Ciara and Aisling deserve a huge thank you as Raffle Co-ordinators, as do the many very generous Prize Sponsors.
These are just a small sample of the many prizes for the lucky winners!!!
I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome new students, teachers and SNAs to St Paul’s for the school year 2019 – 2020. It’s an exciting time for everyone as we look forward to all the excitement that a new year brings.
This year we have some new playground equipment for the children to enjoy. Two new basket swings and seesaws were installed during the Summer Holidays and are being enjoyed by the students since their return to school. These were purchased using a funds donated last year, including the coin collection organized by the Parents Association. A Huge Thank You to all involved!!!
