Dear Parent/Guardian

I hope that you and your family are safe and well at this time.

I appreciate that this is a very difficult time for many families, unfortunately we are in a very difficult position following the closure of the school due to the Covid restrictions. It is a regrettable situation, but it is one which we as a school have no control over. At this moment in time I cannot give you any clarity on how or when the school will reopen. I will however reassure you that when we have the opportunity to provide you with more clarity we will do so. All decisions around this process will be guided by the best available advice from the Department of Health and Department of Education.

If you require support from St Paul’s Special School during the Covid 19 school closure, please be assured that you can contact both your class teacher and myself.

In the first instance, class teachers are usually best placed to answer any queries you may have. Each Class Teacher has been allocated a new email address to enable them to provide information and support directly to you. They can be contacted during school hours and will endeavor to reply to you as quickly as possible. The new email address for each teacher will have been circulated to you in the recent past, however if you have not received this information please email the school office.

Should you wish to contact me directly I am available during school hours. Please feel free to contact me using the school office address. This email address is closely monitored and I will reply to you as quickly as I can. The school office email address is

Should your query relate to Therapeutic Input for your child or is related to family supports, I would recommend that you make contact with St Paul’s Service on (01) 837 7673

I would also remind you that there are two tabs at the top of our website pages; Home-School Links and Sensory Videos. These two areas contain a huge amount of resources and links. There is no pressure on any family to use these however they are there to support you and your child. They will be updated regularly so please check them out!

The staff of St Paul’s School look forward to seeing you and your child again in the near future.

Take care
